impervious, fine-grained and smooth, with a finely formed face
Available in mat, unglazed, or a high polished finish
Quarry
Made by the extrusion process from natural clay or shale
Most common in dark red shades, but also available in shades of brown and gray
May be glazed or unglazed
Terrazzo
Consists of marble or granite chips in a portland cement or epoxy matrix in various thicknesses and sizes |
